Humour Me is a charity event where a group of committed sponsors, brave CEOs and Canadian and international stand-up comics come together to raise money for youth-related charities. Humour Me applies a twist to the standard stand-up routine by bringing together both professional comedians and influential, high-profile amateurs to perform together.
The focus of the event is raising funds to support organizations that deliver vital services to young people. To date we have donated over $8,000,000 to some incredible groups who are working hard to make a real difference in the lives of young Canadians. This year the net proceeds of Humour Me will support children’s mental health programs at SickKids.
GMP, a leading Canadian investment dealer, is breaking ground for this inaugural event by being the first company to commit to donate the day’s trade commissions to help combat sex trafficking.

One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to Covenant House Toronto and its five-year, comprehensive, $10-million anti-sex trafficking campaign, “Just Like a Girl You Know.”
The Grand Commission promises high returns to support real solutions in our city. The event costs will be underwritten by corporate sponsorship to ensure that maximum proceeds can go right to the bottom line.
The evening’s elegant gala, The Grand Ball, at the Ritz-Carlton Toronto, will be the scene of a celebration of generosity and compassion.
